ASH WEDNESDAY is on March 5th, there will be 3 Masses on that day. 7.30am, 9am, 6.30pm and School Mass at 11am.
FIRST FRIDAY IS ON MARCH 7TH: 9am Mass, followed by Exposition, 6.15pm Benediction, 6.30pm Stations of the Cross, followed by Mass.
FRIDAYS IN LENT: Mass at 9am, 6.30 Stations of the cross, followed by Mass.
THE ADORATION CHAPEL is open now from 10am to 12pm (noon). Sign-up is needed on Flock Note. If you are unable to use that method, please contact the Parish Office.
Every 3rd Saturday, 9am Mass will be offered to the sick, aged and home bound. After the Mass anointing will take place.
TAX RECEIPTS are available from the Parish Office. If you wish yours to be mailed or emailed, please contact the Parish Office. Thank you.
KNIGHTS’ PANCAKE BREAKFAST – make note! Next Sunday you can enjoy a delicious Pancake Breakfast after the 8 & 9:30am Masses.
Heartfelt thanks to everyone for your donations. We are continuing to collect food items & gift cards for needy families. You can drop off your full bags at the back of the church or at the Parish Office.
2025 ENVELOPES… please pick up from Parish Office. We reduced the amount of envelope boxes we purchased therefore anyone who had a number over 401; have been assigned a new number.
THE FILIPINO MASS is on the 1st Sunday of the month at 6pm. The next Mass is on March 2nd.
CHRISTIAN MEDITATION GROUP meets in person on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 7pm.

Reflections
HAVING A GOOD HEART
The third and final section of Luke’s Sermon on the Plain begins: And he told them a parable. There are actually four parables, three of which we read today. They are all about how to be a good disciple.
The blind cannot lead the blind. And a disciple cannot be a good disciple unless he or she has learned from the teacher. Everyone who is fully trained is like the teacher who knows how to cure the blind. Before you can be a good disciple and teach others you must take care of yourself. Do not try to take a speck out of your brother’s eye until you have taken the board out of your own. Finally, only when you have purified yourself can you produce the good works that the teacher requires. Discipleship asks us to produce good deeds. But to produce them requires the integrity and purity of heart found in the teacher. When people see your good deeds, they will know that this is because you have a good heart.
The final parable, which we do not read today, is about building on the solid foundation of rock and not on sand. This is the only way to face the difficulties a disciple will encounter and survive.

St. Eds Christian Meditation Group
The St Edmund's Parish unit of the 'World Community for Christian Meditation' (WCCM) will resume its in-person meditation meeting, on the 3rd Thursday of every month at 7.00 pm in St Edmund's Church.
"No Experience Necessary"- The group leader will give new people the basics of meditation and some resources.
WCCM continues to hold a weekly virtual meeting on Mondays (via ZOOM), also at 7.00 pm. You are sincerely invited to attend the WCCM meeting(s). All are welcome.

BISHOP THOMAS J. LOBSINGER, OMI MEMORIAL BURSARY PROGRAM
The annual British Columbia and Yukon Bursary program known as the Bishop Thomas J. Lobsinger, OMI Memorial Bursary Program is underway. The 2025 program is now receiving applications. We are privileged to offer fourteen bursaries of $1,000.00 each to Catholic students across the Province of British Columbia. These bursaries are made available on a one-time only basis to young practicing Catholic students who are in post secondary education at a recognized institute of higher learning within the Province of British Columbia. Applications are accepted from January 1, 2025 until June 30, 2025 with the bursaries being awarded in the fall. The Terms of Reference may be found on our web site (kofcbc.org) after Jan 1, 2025.
